WE
What do we need to change together as owners?
Ownership development and owner capability
You can be a highly capable entrepreneur, CEO or business leader without ever having been trained in the role of owner.
The Ownership Journey develops the ability to exercise ownership with clearer direction, better decisions, appropriate mandates and greater awareness of how the owner’s actions affect the board, CEO and organisation.
For sole owners, co-owners and family-owned businesses that want to develop both their ownership and their capability as owners.
Your everyday reality
The question is not only what you want as owners. It is how ownership actually works.
The Ownership Journey begins with what the owner wants to create.
We then explore how ownership is actually exercised, how others experience it and the effect it has on the board, CEO and organisation.
The aim is not to decide who is right.
It is to understand what needs to develop and turn that understanding into practical change.

The same core approach applies to every ownership structure. The work is then adapted for sole owners, co-owners or family ownership.
How we work
What do you want to create through your ownership?
The ownership gap assessment (Ägar GAP) provides a structured picture of your current position, strengths and development needs in relation to what you want to achieve.
The owner’s own perspective matters, but may not be the whole picture.
Where relevant, the Ownership Mirror 360 (Ägarspegel 360) adds perspectives from people who can actually observe the owner’s actions, such as the chair, board directors or CEO.
Differences help us understand. They are not used to decide who is right.
We first explore whether the issue concerns structure, mandates, information or decision-making processes.
Structural problems need structural solutions.
Where personal patterns do affect the situation, NOVA Deep Insight can help deepen understanding of communication, decision-making patterns, drivers and responses under pressure.
We prioritise no more than two decisive changes.
These become clear responsibilities, an action plan and observable behaviours to practise in real ownership situations, decisions and conversations.
After approximately 30 days, we review what is beginning to change.
After approximately 90 days, we review what is lasting.
Where needed, the Ownership Mirror is used again to explore whether others also notice the change.
NOVA Deep Insight provides material for development. Personality data alone must not define a development need; behaviours are explored in real situations.
Two perspectives are held together throughout the journey.
What do we need to change together as owners?
What do I personally need to do differently to contribute?
Shared responsibility must not obscure individual responsibility.
Equally, individuals should not have to carry issues that belong to the owners collectively.
An owner may want to give the CEO a broad mandate, yet increase control when uncertainty rises.
A co-owner may want openness, yet dominate the conversation so that other perspectives never emerge.
The difference between intention and actual impact matters.
This is where development begins to become tangible.
Potential effects
These are potential improvements. Together, we track the effects that matter in your situation.
What is included
The number of sessions, scope and investment are adapted to your ownership structure and needs. Following the introductory conversation, you receive a clear proposal.
The value of the Ownership Journey is not determined by how much an owner understands on paper. It is determined by whether the board, CEO, other owners and people in the organisation notice real change when situations become difficult.
No. Owner intent is an important part. The Ownership Journey goes further, exploring how ownership is actually exercised, how others experience it and what needs to change in practice.
Yes. The same core model applies to sole owners, co-owners and family ownership. The content is adapted to the ownership structure and situation.
No. They are used when they add relevant information and help development move forward. The analysis determines what is needed.
The Ownership Journey develops how the owner or owners exercise ownership. The Board Journey develops the board’s shared work and each director’s contribution. The Company Journey considers the organisation’s overall capability. The journeys may meet within the same company, but address different responsibilities and perspectives.
